Lauren Dickinson 4 days ago Aussie world is always fun.... my kids are too little for the rides at bigger theme parks so they love coming to Aussie world.. it’s smaller and feels very safe.. and they love cooling off at the end under the leaking logs.. we took a picnic lunch and ate outside the premises but there are plenty of food options there or at the pub..

What a great afternoon
Georgia Benson 2 weeks ago

What a great afternoon. My two sons aged 9 & 10 each invited a mate and we spent the afternoon at Aussie World. It was perfect, great weather, not too busy, great atmosphere. The staff operating the rides were great and most had a chat with the boys as they got on and off rides. They absolutely love mini golf and the illusionarium. Will definitely take the boys again, good fun for primary school kids.

Great for the family
Toni Beckett 1 month ago

Great for the family! Excellent service, small lines and well priced food. My daughter tripped over our pram and fractured her arm and the first aid provided at Aussie world by Bradley and Kylie was fantastic. They were compassionate and professional. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Staff were helpful
Erin McGowan 1 month ago

Staff were helpful, the place was clean, well kept and lovely. We had a great time. My daughter loved the princess show, and even though the weather was a bit iffy during the day, almost all the rides were open. Food and gift shop pricing was a bit high, but that's to be expected considering the price of tickets! We will definitely be visiting again.

Was a little disappointed as the top 3 main rides were out of order on the day we visited
Ashlyn Boswood 4 months ago

Was a little disappointed as the top 3 main rides were out of order on the day we visited, even though it was during school holidays. Very much aimed for smaller children rather than young adults. Probably wouldn't go back, but at least the tickets weren't too overpriced so I don't feel like it was a waste.

Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast is a great place to visit with the family
Kylie Kleinman 4 months ago

Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast is a great place to visit with the family. Lots to do, it really does suit ALL ages. The rides are pretty fun and you can get around the park in one whole day. It’s a cross between a carnival theme and theme park. Attractions are most enjoyable.

Great experience in the revolving restaurant
Serena Lucas 5 months ago

Great experience in the revolving restaurant, presentation good, food was nice but average. Views were stunning and it is definitely beautiful. One of those attractions to do, at night the lights were spectacular. Drink packages were extra cost but were not hugely expensive.

My partner and I took my two nieces to Aussie World for the day and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Sarah Guillesser 5 months ago

My partner and I took my two nieces to Aussie World for the day and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Even myself who couldn’t ride any of the rides because I am pregnant! I was able to get lots of great photos of them and it was awesome seeing the 3 of them have so much fun. The staff were very happy and friendly and the girls even got to meet Cinderella, Ariel & Ursula. I went to the park about 10 years ago and it has improved so much since then. We will definitely be back!

Was a fun day at Aussie World
Debbie Thompson 5 months ago

Was a fun day at Aussie World, great for a fun family day out. Loved experiencing all the rides with the girls as there is something there for everyone. Would definitely take the girls again. Was great fun and it was good value for a big family of 6. Great little gift shops.

Aussie World Review

Sunshine Coast Experience Expert

If you're visiting Queensland's Sunshine Coast and are looking for a wholesome, good time with the family, then consider a trip to Aussie World.

Aussie World is a mid-sized theme park whose mantra is 'Fun Is Our Thing'. The park has recently been refurbished to offer a new suite of rides and modern touches that will please the eye. The general vibe walking through the park is happy and bright, and whether you're visiting for just a few hours or a whole day, you'll be sure to have a good time.

How to get there

Located just one kilometre north of the Caloundra exit on the Bruce Highway, Aussie World is easy to get to and easy to enjoy.

You can drive yourself easily from various locations on the Sunshine Coast, Brisband and the Gold Coast. There is parking on site to accommodate self-driving visitors. If you're looking to catch public transport, you can hop on the 615 bus from Maroochydore, Alexandra Headlands, Mooloolaba and Sippy Downs.

Highlights

  • Great family fun
  • Easy to get there and park
  • Fun for kids of all ages
  • Delicious, healthy food options
  • Unlimited use of rides

What you'll do

Good all year round fun

Aussie World Sunshine Coast Jetsetting Kids

Aussie World is open 363 days of the year and has rides and attractions that will suit your family - no matter the season. The 'Plunge' log ride and 'Leak n Log' splash playground will keep your family cool through summer.

Activities like 18 hole putt putt and a five-story high slip and slide will keep you moving through winter.

Family friendly food and beverage options

Aussie World Sunshine Coast Jetsetting Kids

If you or your child have special dietary requirements there is no need to worry about the food on offer at Aussie World. The 'Fun Cafe' has a great range of healthy options for families and kids and best of all, they will be kept entertained while they eat.

This bright and cheery cafe opens out to the main street of Aussie World where you're most likely to see roaming children's entertainment characters. Kids are encouraged to take part in the action by trying their hands at circus skills or snapping a photo with a favoured Disney princess or two.

Within the café, there is plenty to look at. Babies and toddlers will love looking up at the ceiling to see beautifully suspended clouds and hot air balloons and even a toy train tooting it's way around on a ledge near the ceiling.

All-in for unlimited fun

Aussie World Sunshine Coast Jetsetting Kids

At Aussie World, you can go on rides and attractions as many times as you like as it's all included in the one admission price. Note: Arcade and sideshow alley games are additional and are completely optional.

Many rides in the park are very more-ish! The newest ride the 'Bug Run' is a great example of this. This beautifully themed roller-coaster looks very similar to childhood favourite 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.

This ride will take you and your little ones through an oversized fantasy garden at six (6) kilometres per hour. This ride is very fun so please don't leave it until the end of the day. You WILL want to go on it again and again!

There is something for the whole family

Aussie World Sunshine Coast Jetsetting Kids

Aussie World is ideal for families with small children. The wait times in lines are reasonably short (which is great for managing attention spans) and there is just so many things for kids to do – toddlers included.

Something that you might not know is that more thrill-seeking rides have been introduced making it a good option for kids aged 10 and over. Dads and the more adventurous should definitely check out the 'Wasp', the 'Dark Rebel' and the 'Redback!', the 'Space Ship Shaker Swinging Ship' could also be added to this list.

I rode this one with my crazy and brave five-year-old and although I had my eyes closed for most of the time, I reported back that it was awesome!

'Professor Bogglesworth's Illusionarium' is also unique to Aussie World and should not be missed for some indoor trick-eye mind bending fun!

Make a day of it

Aussie World is part of a larger precinct that includes a pub and village shops. The style is uniquely themed to outback Australian life. Stop for an early traditional Aussie dinner before you go home, check out the shops for some souvenirs and don't forget to pick up some home-made fudge for dessert!

My Recommendations

Aussie World Sunshine Coast Jetsetting Kids

If you're looking for an alternative to the glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast or fast-pace of Brisbane, take the edge off with a trip to the Sunshine Coast.

Here everything, including the theme parks, is just that bit more relaxed and manageable with kids, and there are plenty of opportunities to create memorable moments through great experiences like a day at Aussie World.

Paula Geinitz of Jetsetting Kids visited Aussie World as a guest of Experience Oz + NZ and Aussie World.

Buy your tickets to Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast and get ready for a day fun-filled day out on the Sunshine Coast the whole family will love.
