Paihia School Road Track

A short and popular walking trail in the Bay of Island region, the Paihia School Road Track is a relatively easy trail stretched over 1.5km return. The track begins at the far end of of School Road in Paihia, just 700 metres from the town of Paihia. The trail takes you to a lookout for incredible vviews of Waitangi, Russell, Cape Brett and Ipiriri, the eastern Bay of Islands. The trail is suitable for visitors with an average level of fitness and follows a well maintained track through wetlands and native forest. Walkers are also urged to keep their eyes and ears peeled in the search for local wildlife that live in the area.
