What you can expect

Discover the brilliance of Yaliya (The Sky), the solar system, and universe as you observe the night skies of the Gulf of Carpentaria in this two hours and 30 minutes nighttime tour. Use state of the art telescopes and the knowledge of a local Gangalidda guide to learn all about the cosmos.

After the sun sets, you'll head out onto the Moungibi salt pans to hear Indigenous Dreamtime stories under the stars. You'll be able to stargaze with uninterrupted, endless views as you peer out and discover the secrets of the cosmos. Your local Gangalidda guide will talk you through Dreamtime stories of the night sky, such as Gidigil, the Man in the Moon.

Steeped in morality, culture and tradition, these stories will grip you as much as the vast expanse of the night sky does. With light snacks and hot drinks to keep you warm and fuelled up, you won't want to head back inside!
