Beavertown at Brayshaw Museum Park

What you can expect

Take a step back in time to experience old-town Blenheim as it was in 1900 at Brayshaw Museum Park. Beavertown replicates a typical street scene based on historical notes and features of the town from that era. Blenheim, previously known as 'The Beaver’ and ‘Beaver Station’ was given those names based on its regularly tendency to flood. Since 1960 the old town has been showcasing the best of the 1900s and entertaining visitors. Built by volunteers, Beavertown is now part of the Marlborough Historical Society. This replica town is a must-see in the region and the perfect way to learn about the rich history of this magical area. Walking along the street you can expect to see some fascinating items modelled in shop windows, working stables, the fire station bell tower, a jail, and Barratts hat shop established in 1923.
