Bay of Islands Farmers Markets

What you can expect

Bringing the best produce from around the Northland region straight to the buyer, the Bay of Islands Farmers Markets is a community driven market filled with friendly, local stall holders. There aren't many opportunities these days where you can speak to the farmer and buy produce straight from the paddock, and that's what Bay of Islands Farmers Markets aims to do. Thanks to the region's sub-tropical climate the farmers and growers have the resources to grow a wide variety of produce that other parts of the country might not be able to. This factor makes the Bay of Islands Farmers Markets one not to miss, as the stall holders are selling a range of products in the one place. Here you will find fresh fruit and vegetables, artisanal breads, cheese, meat and poultry, olive oil, condiments, fresh herbs and ready to eat baked goods. There are around 50 stallholders selling their delicious goods at each markets. Stall holders include The Strawberry Sheilas, Russel Smokehouse, Puketona Avocado Orhcard, Mahoe Cheese, Miere Honey, Limoncello Sovrano, MIghty Mushrooms, First Harvest Olive Oil, Greg Flutey Breads and First Fruits to name a few. The markets are on every Thursday at the Village Green in Paihia from 2pm until 5:30pm and every Sunday at the Post Office parking lot on Hobson Avenue, Kerkeri from 8:30am until 12 noon.
