What you can expect

Travel over the water to Granite Island in style aboard the region's historic horse drawn tram carriage with Victor Harbor Tramway. Ferrying the public since 1894, this is one of the Fleurieu Peninsula's most iconic attractions and the only of its kind in the country. Granite Island is located 630 metres across the ocean from Victor Harbor and if you don't feel like walking, a ride on the horse drawn tram is a definite must! In operation every day of the year and multiple times a day, you can purchase a single ticket or return journey from Granite Bay - the choice is yours. With the same double-decker design as the first carriage that was built all of those years ago, this has stood the test of time despite improvements in technology and travel, and visitors and locals alike are glad it did.
