What you can expect

Set the alarms early for a breathtaking kayaking tour of the Great Barrier Reef just as sunrise takes place in Palm Cove. Explore the colourful reef brimming with activity as the early morning light filters over Australia’s greatest natural wonder. You'll have the best seat in the house from your own double kayak to admire the scenery above and below the water.

Heading out from Palm Cove, follow experienced guides for a gentle paddle over to Double Island. Check out the famous turtle spot where green and hawksbill turtles are often found. Next, the kayaking tour continues to the mangroves. Keep a lookout for tropical fish, sea turtles and rays that forage here. If you’re keen for a swim or snorkel, there is plenty of time to dip your toes into the water to explore a magical underwater world.
