Millaa Millaa Falls

What you can expect

One of the beautiful falls on the Waterfalls Circuit in Far North Queensland, over time Millaa Millaa Falls has become an icon of the region. The perfect picture of the cascading waterfall rushing down into the waterhole below is often visited by tour groups and road trippers travelling through the region. The waterhole at the base of the fall is open to swimmers and makes for the perfect way to cool day after a big day exploring the region. The swimming hole is relatively safe to swim in, however be wary for platypus that live in the area, though they are quite cute they can be quite dangerous. If you'd rather take it easy and enjoy the view of the waterfall there is a grassy picnic area where you can set yourself up for the day. You can group your visit to Millaa Millaa Falls with the other waterfalls on the popular circuit, which includes Zillie, Ellinjaa, Pepina and Mungalli Falls.
