Departing from Cairns Pier carpark, you travel into ancient rainforest country, first visiting the Cathedral Fig Tree and hearing cultural storytelling that brings this sacred place to life. Next, you'll head to Lake Barrine for a relaxed rainforest walk, gaining insight into the deep connection between land, food, and identity.
Continue to Watsonville for a delicious bush picnic lunch, surrounded by open country and fresh air. Here, your guide will show you traditional spear-throwing techniques and share bush food knowledge. The final stop of the day is Hastie’s Swamp, a thriving wetland where hundreds of bird species can often be seen. Enjoy music, trivia and stories on the relaxed return journey to Cairns.
