One of the most stunning natural attractions in Broome, Roebuck Bay boasts breathtaking colours and views in close proximity to the city centre. For the cooler months of the year, from March to October, visitors can experience the stunning Staircase to the Moon. this natural phenomenon occurs when a full moon rises over the exposed tidal flats of the bay, the light bounces off the ground to present a staircase effect leading to the moon. This happens approximately two to three days per month during this season. Visitors can go for a swim at Roebuck Bay’s Town Beach; the closest swimming area to town.
