What you can expect

Home to two giant, 800 year old Kauri tree, Parry Kauri Park is incredible to explore. Accessed via the Wakworth Museum carpark, you can collect a free brochure from the Museum Shop and begin your adventure into this historic park. The two trees, McKinney and Simpson, were named after two previous land owners and are said to be the largest of their kind on the country's east coast. The walkway is an easy journey with elevated walkways through the bush and hand rails to aid walkers. The walkways also circle around the trees so you can give them a big hug! This is a definite must-see attraction in the region.
