What you can expect
Head to the Upper Yarra Valley for a two-hour self-guided river tubing adventure. You'll meet approximately 75 minutes from Melbourne in Warburton for a safety briefing and demonstration before hopping on board a shuttle bus for a short ride upstream. Begin your Yarra River float with your very own high-quality inflatable river tube. Purpose-built to handle the shallower waters, your tube prevents popping and deflating for a comfortable journey downstream. Under the sun, enjoy paddling, manoeuvring and gliding down gentle rapids and winding bends.
Along the ever-changing three-kilometre stretch of river lined by native bush, encounter natural obstacles like rocks, branches or logs. The time span of your tubing experience can vary depending on water levels and your paddling speed. Participants must be able to swim confidently as you’ll use your strength, agility and swimming skills to venture down the river. Jump in for a relaxing yet exciting tube float, surrounded by natural scenery.

- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time.
- This experience is two hours in duration.
- Please meet near the Yarra River, between the Warburton Cricket Club at 3455 - 3457 Warburton Hwy and Bramich Bridge.
- Closed-toe shoes or water booties are recommended
- Personal Floatation Devices for all children and weak swimmers
- Rash vest or wetsuit
- Extra clothes
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Children aged 10+ must be accompanied by a paying adult; this activity is not suitable for children under 10.
- One person per tube; no double-ups.
- Children must be accompanied by a paying adult or a River Guide.
- Closed-toe shoes or water booties are essential.
- Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) are recommended for all children and weak swimmers.
- A reasonable level of fitness and balance is required—if you can’t get out of a beanbag, this isn’t the activity for you.
- Not confident or comfortable in moving water? Consider hiring a River Guide.
- Pre-arrival waiver & medical consent e-form must be completed before the adventure.
- Activity begins in Warburton (approx. 75 minutes from Melbourne); participants must arrange their own transport.
- Check-in is 15 minutes before the booked start time; late arrivals may be considered a no-show with no refund.
- Participants must arrange their own transport to the meeting location
- Children aged 10 years and above must be accompanied by a paying adult or a River Guide
- Not suitable for children aged 10 years and below
- One person per tube
- Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) are highly recommended for all children and weak swimmers
- Wetsuit and life vest hire are available
- A reasonable level of fitness and balance is required
- It is recommended that participants not confident or comfortable in moving water hire a River Guide
- A pre-arrival waiver and medical consent declaration form must be completed prior to tour commencement
- In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern, you will be contacted by the provider and rescheduled or refunded
- Minimum of one and a maximum of 11 participants
- Larger groups can be arranged directly with the experience provider
- Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- For cancellations a 10% administration fee will be deducted from the total booking amount
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience

Best activity we have done in years!
What an absolute blast! Two couples in our 60’s and 70’s of moderate fitness, we were up for adventure and river tubing on the Yarra River near Warburton far exceeded our expectations in every way. We paid a little extra to have our own guide Nick and he was totally worth the investment, providing local knowledge as well as a little prod when we got stuck along the journey. Thank you for helping to make it so perfect Nick! It was just so exhilarating and so beautiful to float along this majestic river and absorb a unique perspective of its unique scenery. We were fortunate to have a glorious 33 degree day and an environmental release to top up the water level. We did choose to hire a wetsuit jacket which was worthwhile too. Best activity done in years! Do it if you can. A perfect day.

We love the river tubing in Warburton- it's so relaxing, beautiful, and fun. This is the third time we've done this as a family. The Warburton Adventure Company are fantastic- giving great guidance and safety precautions.
