Explaination was great but lot of time on the drive only
It was from Billy Tea Safaris company. Vegetarian food option can be improved. The Rainforest explanation was great & instead of ice cream pick, we could have gone for some rainforest activity or BBQ/famous Billy Tea. Andriyas was good at his skills.
What you can expect
Your naturalist guide will meet you at your accommodation and after introductions, we drive west approximately 200 kms to embark on a remarkable journey back in time.
Our first stop is Skybury Coffee Plantation, where you can enjoy delicious local coffee, tea, and morning tea with your fellow travellers while looking out over the amazing view. Wander the gift shop and pick up yourself a treat!
From here we head over the Great Diving Range to the Historic Mining town of Chillagoe, famous for the Copper Mining back at the turn of the century. Once at Chillagoe, a local ranger will take you on a guided tour into another world to explore the Chillagoe Mungana Caves National Park. This is an amazing caving experience with a local guide. As you make your way through the limestone towers that rise above the flat plains of Chillagoe you will be amazed at the fossilised remains of this lost world and the great limestone formations that form this cave system.
We then go to the historic Chillagoe Smelters, Balancing Rock and see some Aboriginal Rock Art before enjoying lunch at a classic Aussie pub in the heart of Chillagoe town. Finally, visit Granite Gorge Nature Park to explore the lush landscape and get up close to the famous rock wallabies that inhabit the area.

- Port Douglas accommodation: this is an additional cost (minimum of 2 people). Pick up approximately 6am - 6.15am, returns between 7pm - 7.30pm. Please book this with reservations prior to travel
- Return transfers from Cairns are included. Return transfers can be arranged for an additional cost from Northern Beaches and Port Douglas. Please reconfirm your pick-up location with the tour operator prior to travel

- If you cancel within the 24 hours before travel, no refund will be issued

The Daintree Rainforest tour is so beautiful and the tour guide Yannick was very helpful and he explained everything so well and he look after us all the time, if you like nature this is a tour to do.
I strongly recommend to do a tour with this company. The tour guide knows so much about Daintree rainforest and he was very friendly and helpful, the ice cream was delicious, I tried chai with chocolate chips and coffee with cardamom and it was so good. If you like nature, and long day trips this tour is great.
