The train ride up was a great trip with amazing views and the Skyrail on the way down was phenomenal. Recommend for anyone visiting the area!
Beautiful views
A relaxing experience with beautiful views on train ride up. Short stay in Kuranda to wander markets alot was closed on a Monday. Then the cable car down with again great views, excellent viewing platforms at barron falls and we really enjoyed the short ranger walk at second stop. Highly recommended

A one – way Skyrail experience will take around 1.5 hours with time spent at both Red Peak and Barron Falls, where here you can explore the breathtaking lookouts overlooking The Barron Falls (Din Din), historical displays and also enjoy a guided boardwalk tour from a Skyrail Ranger at Red Peak. In Kuranda, you're free to explore at your own pace.
You can visit one of the many great family friendly attractions including Kuranda Koala Gardens, Birdworld and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, or you could simply just wander around the markets and relax at a local café - the choice is yours. - Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is located at 6 Skyrail Drv, Smithfield, approximately 15 minutes north of Cairns and 50 minutes south of Port Douglas
- This is a self drive tour option only and guests will need to find their own way to and from the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway terminal
- Please arrive at Skyrail no earlier than 15 minutes prior to allocated boarding time
- During busy periods, sharing of gondolas with other guests will be required
- Skyrail is a cash free experience. This includes our Gift Shop and Cafe
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- It is highly recommended to reconfirm your booking at least 48 hours prior to the date of the activity
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on the day of the activity. Vouchers presented on a mobile device are also accepted
