The trip was fabulous
The trip was fabulous! The captain of the boat was hilarious while giving some safety instructions and information. The staffs were all very helpful and friendly. Saw a turtle during snorkeling. The tour guide on the Glass bottom boat is very informative as well as knowledgeable; gave us some good spots to snorkel. And of course the island itself is paradise on earth. Overall a great trip!

For the quickest and most effective way to get to the beautiful, unspoiled Fitzroy Island, this option includes ferry transfers from Cairns that is not only an efficient way to get "from A to B" but makes for a spectacular tour in itself! Heading out from the Cairns Marina, you'll board a comfortable vessel and cruise out across the pristine reef waters towards the wonderful shores of Fitzroy Island on a journey that takes roughly 45 minutes. Once on Fitzroy Island, you'll have five hours to explore its many stunning natural offerings, taking part in a range of activities on both land and water including snorkelling, glass bottom boat tours, kayaking, island adventures and much more.
Departing at 8:30am and 10:45am, this Fitzroy Island ferry tour offers a full day of enjoyment at one of Cairns' most popular and accessible Great Barrier Reef areas without breaking the budget. - Depart Cairns at 8:30am or 10:45am, depart Fitzroy at 4pm (2:15pm departure subject to availability on the day). Arrive in Cairns at approx. 4:45pm

Not what I expected.
We visited Fitzroy Island after a day to Green Island a few days earlier and were greatly disappointed. First the boat had nothing playing on the tv in the way of information. There was no information given over the speakers at all. Don’t even think about going on a windy day if you get seasick - the boat ride was extreme. Fitzroy Island is completely surrounded by broken coral so don’t expect a day of relaxing by the water. It’s a huge island but unless you plan on hiking or swimming all day there is nothing else to do but eat at the one restaurant. But even think about sitting there to eat your lunch from this tour as a man will come around and tell you to move. There is nowhere else to comfortably sit or relax to enjoy your time out of the water. You have to swim quite far out to see anything too as the seabed near the edge of the water is all broken coral. We asked to return to cairns early instead of staying for our full day. The walk to Nudey Beach is not suitable for anyone with any limiting mobility. It’s mainly climbing rock steps up and down both ways. It’s not what I expected and I wouldn’t return.
