Famous for its relentless flow and wild Grade 3–4 rapids, this high-intensity experience is packed with action from the first drop to the last.
After a safety briefing, you’ll hit the water with expert guides and power through a nonstop sequence of surging rapids, roaring whitewater, and steep drops that keep the energy high. Between bursts of intensity, there are brief moments to regroup and take in the towering rainforest before the river kicks back into gear.
No experience needed—just a sense of adventure and readiness to get soaked. This is fast, fun, and fiercely memorable rafting on one of Australia’s most iconic rivers.

- Self-Drive - Meet at the Golden Gumboot, Tully at 12:55PM and return approximately 19:30PM

- From Cairns - Pickup approximately 10:15AM and return approximately 21:00PM/22:00PM

- A Medical Questionnaire, Release & Assumption of Risk & Indemnity Forms are required to be completed prior to participation in white water rafting
- No prior white water rafting experience is necessary, however good health and a positive attitude are essential
- Minimum age: 13 years for Tully River Rafting
- Rafting is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant
- Please advise dietary requirements at time of reconfirmation
- River Levy $35 per person - payable on the day of travel
- Pre-bookings essential; subject to availability and minimum numbers
- Changes allowed 48hours prior; within 48hours booking becomes non-refundable
- Cancellation Policy Full refund for cancellations made more than 48 hours before the tour. 50% refund for cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the tour. No refund for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour. No refund for no-shows without notice. However, you may reschedule for another date (with-in 3 years) at a cost of $50.00 per person. Changes to Bookings: No fee for changes made more than 48 hours before the tour. $5.00 per person fee for changes made between 24 and 48 hours before the tour. $15.00 per person fee for changes made less than 24 hours before the tour, but prior to the scheduled departure time. Note: Any booking that is changed within 48 hours of the scheduled tour becomes non-refundable.

Worth every cent! To call this a blast is an understatement.
Not going to lie! My initial thoughts on arrival at the pick-up point in Tully, were sceptical. In a word, it was ‘lacks’. I also didn’t feel as prepared as I could. Once on the bus, however, that all changed. Our host was informative and amusing. The team worked well together and had a fun spirit. To say we had a blast is an understatement. In the words of my 14-year-old daughter “that was the most fun and best experience of my life”. Thanks Raging Thunder.
