Overall, we would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, safe, and well-managed family outing. It’s rare to find something that entertains both kids and adults equally well, but this day really did.
We had such a wonderful time and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt well organised and easy to follow. Communication leading up to the day was clear, prompt, and helpful, which really set us at ease and made planning simple. On the day itself, everything ran smoothly, with no delays or confusion, which allowed us to just relax and enjoy ourselves. The kids had an absolute blast, and the highlight for them was definitely the cable ride. There were plenty of staff around to answer questions, offer guidance, and keep things running efficiently, which added to the overall feeling of being well taken care
Scenic view was awesome but less time to visit valley.
If you like historic travel, nature, and can be a bit flexible about comfort and pace, this is a very worthwhile experience. It offers something special: rainforest, engineering history, views, and a sense of adventure. Overall it was fun when you travel.
Experience the most popular way to discover and explore up close the World Heritage Listed Wet Tropics Rainforest with Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Kuranda Scenic Railway. The Kuranda Scenic Railway is famed for its beautiful route and the fact that it has been servicing the community for over 130 years. Winding through the lush green rainforest, cascading waterfalls and tropical mountain ranges, this is one journey to remember. Skyrail Rainforest Cableway will offer you a truly unique perspective of this ancient landscape where you will glide meter above the pristine canopy before descending to explore the forest floor at the Red Peak and Barron Falls. A one – way Skyrail experience will take around 1.5 hours with time spent at both Red Peak and Barron Falls, where here you can explore the breathtaking lookouts overlooking The Barron Falls (Din Din), historical displays and also enjoy a guided boardwalk tour from a Skyrail Ranger at Red Peak. In Kuranda, you're free to explore at your own pace.
You can visit one of the many great family friendly attractions including Kuranda Koala Gardens, Birdworld and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, or you could simply just wander around the markets and relax at a local café - the choice is yours. Combining two of the region's must-do experiences and providing you with the chance to explore the gorgeous village of Kuranda, this package brings you great value for money and great sights.
