Combining World Heritage Rainforest with Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway, this tour encompasses the best scenic transportation options available in the region. The Kuranda Scenic Railway is famed for its beautiful route and the fact that it has been servicing the community for over 100 years. The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway will take around 1.5 hours from departure and includes stops at the Red Peak Station and Barron Falls along the way. The two station stops are worth exploring and guests are advised to allocate around 20 minutes at each to explore the lookouts, historical displays and enjoy a guided boardwalk tour from a local ranger. In Kuranda, you're free to explore at your own pace. You can visit one of the many great family friendly attractions including Kuranda Koala Gardens, Birdworld and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, or you could simply just wander around the markets and relax at a local café - the choice is yours. - Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is located at 6 Skyrail Drv, Smithfield, approximately 15 minutes north of Cairns and 50 minutes south of Port Douglas
- Please arrive at Skyrail no earlier than 15 minutes prior to allocated boarding time
- During busy periods, sharing of gondolas with other guests will be required
- Skyrail is a cash free experience. This includes our Gift Shop and Cafe
- It is highly recommended to reconfirm your booking at least 48 hours prior to the date of the activity
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on the day of the activity. Vouchers presented on a mobile device are also accepted

Very good service from Skyrail and Scenic Railway staff
Seats and timings managed very nicely. Staff were very nice and easily changed the booking times. Seats in railway was assigned so good, in such a way that you had most space to yourself without sharing window or the bench. Scenic Railway and Skyrail is the best in art of Kuranda. Besides that there is Kuranda market and some good restaurants.
Great experience with rainforest & reef over in Skyrail
It's brilliant. Skyrail was simply the best. Train journey was wonderful & the Barron Falls stop , other looks out stops were extraordinary. It's highly recommended. Only thing for improvement - instead of Train pickup from Skyrail Smithfield to Freshwater station, city train pickup would be a good option.
Good package to travel with Scenic Railway and Skyrail
Booking through Experience Oz for good value and huge discount, nice experience to travel on the train, nice scenic drive, skyrail is amazing view from air! Kid’s friendly and enjoyable, worth to go from Cairns, not far away from Cairns and convenient with parking and transfers.
