What you can expect
Experience an evening adventure kayaking out over one of New Zealand’s most stunning water ways, Lake Rotoiti. Take in the beautiful scenery, abundant birdlife, and learn about the Maori myths and legends linked to the area as you paddle towards the magical glowworm caves.
Paddle across the lake to the stunning Manupirua Hot Pools, which are only accessible by water. Here you will enjoy a freshly cooked BBQ dinner along with a delicious kiwi dessert. On the way to our hidden Glowworm cave you will see how Lake Rotoiti is magically transformed by the moon and the twinkling stars above. This will, without a doubt, be the perfect end to your adventure!

- Pickup option can be added for $30 pp from your local Rotorua accommodation direct with the operator. Once you have received your voucher from us, please call the tour operator to arrange your pick up if you wish (Tour operator details will be printed on your voucher)

- Departure time is between 3pm and 7pm. Departure times vary depending on the season
- The duration of this experience is 2.5 hour paddling time with a total tour duration of 5 hours
- Our guides will meet you at 41 Otaramarae Road, Okere Falls (20 minutes north of Rotorua). Unless hotel accommodation pick up is added.

- Minimum age is 8 years old
- Two person minimum for all kayak tours to operate
- Waimarino reserves the right to cancel the tour on the day, due to weather or any safety concerns. If this is done, the tour will be postponed or a full refund will be made
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
