What you can expect
Experience Queenstown’s spectacular wine country by bike on our Full Day Bike The Wineries ride, a relaxed and scenic journey through historic Arrowtown, dramatic river valleys, and the renowned vineyards of Gibbston — the Valley of the Vines.
Your day begins at our Queenstown shop before a short scenic shuttle takes you to charming Arrowtown, where your ride begins. After a briefing and bike fitting, you’re free to explore at your own pace. Ride alongside the crystal-clear Arrow River, cross impressive suspension bridges, and pass the iconic Kawarau Suspension Bridge, the birthplace of bungy jumping.
From here, the trail opens into the beautiful Gibbston wine region, where boutique cellar doors, vineyard restaurants, and stunning alpine scenery await. Spend the afternoon cycling between wineries, enjoying tastings, long lunches, or simply soaking up the landscape.
The ride typically covers 15–25 km on well-maintained gravel trails with gentle undulations, making it accessible for most riders. Electric bikes are highly recommended for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
At the end of the day, there’s no need to rush or ride back — simply meet our scheduled shuttle at your final winery and we’ll return you comfortably to Queenstown.
This experience perfectly combines cycling, scenery, and world-class wine, creating one of the most memorable ways to explore Queenstown’s Gibbston Valley.

- Pick up/drop off from 3 Searle Lane, Queenstown
- Quality mountain bike (or electric bike if upgraded) and helmet hire
- Map of all trails and wineries and facilities
- Wine Tastings are not included

- Summer: 1 September - 30 April departs 9 am and returns 5 pm
- Winter: 1 May - 31 August departs 10 am returns 4.30 pm
- This experience departs from our Shop located at 3 Searle Lane, Queenstown. Please ensure you check in 10 minutes prior to the stated departure time.
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older to consume alcohol
- Sturdy shoes are recommended
- Leggings, tights or shorts with a lightweight water/windproof jacket is recommended
- A reasonable level of fitness is recommended for this experience
- Heights must be supplied at time of booking
- Numbers vary with each tour, but you can ride independently and at your own pace

- Late arrivals or no shows will result in you forfeiting your experience
