Beautiful scenery and delicious lunch
Travelling via steamboat is a unique experience in itself and well worth doing! The boat ride offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains, and the lunch was delicious, particularly the desserts. The restaurant had a good range of gluten-free and dairy free main menu items and desserts.

What you can expect
Cruise to Walter Peak High Country Farm across Queenstown's Lake Whakatipu on the historic TSS Earnslaw. Take in breathtaking views over the secluded tranquil waters of the lake whilst enjoying a drink or snack from the bar onboard. Once at the lakeside Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant savour the delicious aromas as our chefs whip up a delicious, locally produced BBQ on the grill. The buffet includes salads, vegetables, fresh seafood, and succulent local meats cooked on the wood-fired BBQ. There is a wide range of delicious desserts on offer, including a vast array of fresh bread and cheese. Overlooking Lake Whakatipu and Queenstown's alpine scenery, the Colonel’s Homestead at Walter Peak High Country Farm is the perfect place to spend a few hours. It's colonial architecture and sweeping grounds evoke the elegance of a bygone era. An entertaining farm show the whole family will enjoy is also included. Watch the farm dogs in action with a sheep-herding demonstration and say hello to the other farm animals. If there is time remaining, explore the beautiful lakeside gardens before re-boarding the vessel for the return trip to Queenstown. A delicious and wholesome day in this lovely region!

- All food and beverage purchases aboard the vessels in Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Queenstown, and Te Anau, as well as at Walter Peak and the Manapouri Café, do not accept cash. A cashless system will provide a smoother, more efficient experience for both guests and staff

This is a very interesting and nice experience for my family
The lunch was great and it was a great experience on the ship as well. The kids have enjoyed a pretty interesting experience. The scenery is also very nice along the way. The sheep show was also nice to watch. Will definitely come again next time.
Great experience
Great experience, everything ran smoothly. Staff on the boat and walter peak farm were all lovely and very informative. The TTS Earnslaw is amazing, had a great time at Walter peak farm tour, the afternoon tea was delicious. The boat ride well worth doing.
