What you need to know

  • Self drive off-road experience in Queenstown
  • Drive a manual Land Rover Defender
  • Half day 4WD tour including 2-3 hours of self driving
  • Light refreshments
  • This experience starts at 8am
  • Please allow 4.5 hours for the entire experience
  • The amount of driving time varies based on your ability and the number of people driving. It can be anywhere between 2-3 hours
  • This experience takes place in Queenstown
  • This experience departs from some central Queenstown hotels or Info & Track/Snow Centre (37 Shotover Street)
  • Water bottle
  • Camera
  • Dress appropriately and comfortably for outdoor adventures (warm clothing in the cooler months)
  • In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider
  • This experience requires minimum 2 participants to run. Maximum of six people can fit in one vehicle, so you can bring along up to five passengers
  • Participants must hold a current manual full driver's license
  • All vehicles are manual and if you have not driven manual it will impede on your experience
  • Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience​
  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience​
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
  • Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
