Underground mine tour in Mount Isa

What an absolute privilege to have a tour guide with a lifetime of experience hand drilling in underground mines. And to the volunteers of Mount Isa who created this experience - hats off. It’s a must do if you’re in town and worth every penny to gain an understanding of what it takes to mine underground.

Hard Times Mine Underground Tour in Mount Isa Queensland.

A very extensive and interesting tour, tour guide a retired local who had worked in the mines for 50+ years. His knowledge of the equipment and mining kept everyone interested (including the kids) for the 3 hour tour. A well organised and run tour, highly recommended

Informative and enjoyable underground experience..

Enjoyable and informative experience going underground with a former and knowledgeable miner as guide, who related his experiences and stories during the tour. Gumboots, coveralls and the helmet with a light were definitely required to enjoy the hands-on experiences.
