What you can expect
Learn the 12 golden rules of safe driving on this Melbourne defensive driving course putting you in control of your own vehicle. This incredibly valuable course takes place at the Sandown Raceway arming drivers with the knowledge to recognise road hazards and difficult driving conditions in order to stay safe and avoid bad situations out on the road.
Defensive driving courses are delivered in a friendly and supportive environment by qualified, experienced instructors who will train all drivers including learners, p platers and anyone who is interested in improving their driving skills. Combining theory and practical lesson on wet and dry road surfaces at suburban speeds, drivers will walk away from this course empowered with an understanding of emergency braking techniques, basic vehicle dynamics and a whole lot more.

What you need to know
- Full day defensive driving course
- Professional instructors
- Please be there no later than 8 am
- This experience starts at 8:15 am and runs roughly to 4pm
- The duration of this experience is 7 hours.
- This experience is located at Sandown Raceway, Dandenong Rd Springvale, VIC 3171.
- Comfortable clothing
- Sensible driving footwear
- Hat and sunscreen
- Your current driver's licence
- Your own vehicle with a full tank of fuel, optimal tyre pressures, water and oil levels
- Lunch and drinks
- No high heels or other shoes unsuitable for driving
- You must supply your own car for this experience
- This experience is suitable for everyone aged 16 to 80 years old
- This experience is suitable for most cars including 4WDs and light commercial vehicles
- If attending the course on a Learners permit, participants must bring a fully licensed driver with them
- Not suitable if pregnant
- There will be groups of up to ten participants per instructor
- This experience is not affected by weather
- Please inflate your car's tyres to 40psi (or the recommended level for light commercials) before you arrive, there is no facility to inflate tyres
- BYO lunch, there are no shops nearby
- Please remove unrestrained items from your car
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
