What you can expect
Discover the Outer Great Barrier Reef on a half day small group snorkelling tour from Port Douglas, with no more than 14 people on board. Leaving the marina at 8am, you race out to the outer reef in under an hour aboard a purpose built rigid inflatable boat, its deep V hull made for a comfortable ride.
Once there, you have 90 minutes to snorkel through water averaging 25 metres of visibility, gliding over big, colourful corals and a remarkable mix of marine life. All your snorkelling equipment and a wetsuit are provided, along with a bottle of water and the reef's Environmental Management Charge, so you can simply suit up and slip in. Kids aged seven and over are welcome, making this a great option for families too. Back at the marina by 11.30am, you still have the afternoon free to explore Port Douglas. With a fast boat, a capped group and more time in the water, this is the outer reef done the easy way.
