Great day out. More help getting into the water from staff would have saved stress and time, but that was the only problem.

Everything was great. Only draw back was there was no one to help our family of 4 with small kids age 7 & 10 to get into the water to put on all our gear. Hard to hold everything with the waves coming in nearly sweeping you off the pontoon. So that was a bit stressful. Also don’t take your time doing lunch and experiencing the other activities other than snorkelling as the 3 1/2 hrs goes like that. My suggestion is to get straight on the semi sub first thing. Btw the semi sub is not for faint hearted if you can’t stand being rocked around (some of the time) in a hot tight space if you can’t handle that. One lady had a panic attack and the next trip people were on the top of the sub maybe too rocky on that trip for them. Saw a shark and turtle snorkelling. Lovely coral and fish. Thanks.
A really stunning experience! Great staff and facilities.

This has been our fourth trip to the reef and second time from Port Douglas on Quicksilver, a very comfortable ride out to the reef, and amazing views once there. The reef was the most vibrant we have seen it. Everything was made easy for us, our boys, 10 and 13 had their first experience to the reef and couldn't get enough of it!
Great day out for families. Definitely recommended.

We booked this trip last minute the night before, absolutely hassle free process and a massive saving booking on Experience Oz vs booking locally.
The trip itself was great, a bit choppy on the way out to the reef but not too bad. The pontoon was a great way to see the reef with young children. Our daughter is only 5 but loved the snorkelling and looking for Nemo. The semi submersible is also really good. All the staff are great, very helpful and we enjoyed the educational talk from the onboard marine biologist.
Plenty of food at lunchtime and a well stocked bar for the trip home.
Disappointed not to see more at the reef despite the abundance of fish, we couldn’t find nemo or any turtles but we did spot a white tipped reef shark.
Definitely recommend this over the others, particularly with kids.
Great boat, very well organised and friendly crew.

Excellent facilities, the crew were all very helpful and friendly. It’s a pity we didn’t get the chance to take a helicopter flight, but understand with covid there just weren’t enough people on board to justify it. I know it’s not great for the business but it was really nice to have a smaller group on board, and it felt like there weren’t really any cutbacks. The lunch was beautiful with some really delicious salads. I did the intro scuba diving and the staff were very informative and patient and it was amazing to breathe below the water and swim with the fish. Snorkelling was great too, the section of reef we saw was so busy with wildlife.
Although parts of the boat were a little tired, everything worked how it needed to. A great day out.
Highly recommend this experience for family or couples.

I highly recommend this trip! Everything about it was amazing the staff are exceptionally nice and educated in regards to the Great Barrier Reef. One of the best experiences I have had snorkelling. I now have the best photos to return back home to show my family and friends
A holiday highlight! As a family of 4, we loved every moment & will remember it a lifetime

We booked this trip with a 6 year old & 3 year old - neither confident swimmers. The whole day was outstanding. Loads of staff, who were all friendly and great at getting us all settled, having fun and ready for our adventure. The journey itself was fun, exploring the boat, enjoying the sun and seeing dolphins jump the stern. Food was fresh and delicious. Out on the pontoon, the staff encouraged us all to get into the water. Both the kids loved it! 6yo snorkelled easily and was thrilled with the abundance of sea creatures. 3 year old rode my back while I enjoyed the snorkelling. It was all fantastic. Only complaint is it didn’t last long enough. Always great to leave wanting more!
Plenty of fish around and staff are all friendly and helpful.

We have been in Port Douglas for a week- 30 degrees everyday and clear skies - with the provided wet suit the water wasn't cold. We saw a turtle twice, the reef is something you won't see anywhere else in the world. Food wasn't the best but the staff are all friendly and helpful. Would probably only go once so if you want to dive make sure you do it, if not snorkelling is free and a 15 min trip on a semi submersible boat is also included.
Absolutely amazing! A must do experience for all the family!

If you're unsure about visiting the reef please do it! This experience is perfect! It’s great for families, swimmers & non swimmers. The whole experience is just magic! Wonderful staff, very informative & helpful. The boat is very stable so no sea sickness. We saw a pod of whales on the way to the pontoon & a sail fish! The weather for us was perfect, we were very lucky but I’m sure it would always be an amazing experience. The submarine ride is excellent too! I just couldn’t recommended Quicksilver enough! Lunch was also fabulous. World class experience!
Fantastic reef tour! We really enjoyed the snorkelling.

Ocean was calm, and even my daughter didn't get sick! Really enjoyed snorkelling. We saw a turtle😄. Semi-submersible reef viewing is really good for the little children. The lunch was surprisingly good! I enjoyed shrimp & seafood salad. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Wonderful day trip, beautiful experience, the Japanese diving instructor was professional and not pushing when he realized I am not comfortable putting my face down to the water. The platform setting created a safe environment for first-time snorkeling.
