Come visit the Hook-A-Barra on the Daintree Salwater Barramundi Farm to take part in some sustainable fishing in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest. This day trip is perfect for guests of Port Douglas with a return transfer to deliver you to the farm for this outdoor adventure.
Following an interactive farm tour of the expansive property and some fish feeding, you'll have a chance to get in on the action and try your hand at catching your own Barramundi from the ponds. Take your time with up to one hour to enjoy a relaxing session of fishing before heading up to the cafeteria for a tasty lunch and return transfers back to Port Douglas.

- Hook-A-Barra is located on the Daintree Saltwater Barramundi Farm, which is Lot 3, Vixies Road, Wonga Beach, Queensland. This is about a 90 minute drive from Cairns, or about 30 minutes north of Port Douglas.
- Guests need to self-drive or make their own way here, as there is no public transport or transfer service available at this time
- Everything you need for catch and release barramundi fishing is provided and included in the tour price
- Hook-a-Barra has a huge range of quality gear, including a specialist selection of lures, with everything from hard bodied minnows to soft plastics, poppers and paddle tails
- There is the option to take your catch home. We charge $18.50 per kilo which is in addition to the tour price
- If your cancellation is at least 24 hours in advance of your fishing session or tour, you will receive a full refund.
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
