What you can expect
Get behind the wheel of a rally car in Avalon with a rally driver as your instructor and complete 13 laps, learning how to drive on the winding gravel track. You choose between a Subaru WRX STI or Mitsubishi Evo, both designed for speed and generating grip when racing around corners. Your instructor will lead the first four rounds, as he shows you the ins and outs of the circuit and demonstrates the balance and driving lines. Next up, you will drive eight laps, guided by the instant advice of your teacher, who will encourage you to go beyond your fears. For the final round, go back into the passenger seat and feel how this is done for a hot lap at race speed.
Arriving at the race track, you start off with a quick safety briefing and a short lesson on the manual transmission with its special handling. Put on your helmet and racing gear before stepping into the car of your choice. The instructor will be by your side throughout the whole experience, making sure that safety and enjoyment are the top priority at all times. This experience takes around two hours and is a great gift for racing fans who want to take the step behind the wheel themselves.

- This experience is two hours in duration, including briefing, driving and hot lap.

- Minimum age is 17 years old
- Participants must hold at least Provisional license and proficient with a manual transmission
- Participants must have a zero blood alcohol concentration
- Maximum height is 193cm
- Maximum weight is 130kg
- This experience is weather dependent and may be postponed due to rain
- Please contact the experience provider after 7.30am on the day of the event to confirm the weather conditions
- Dogs are not permitted inside the vehicle during your driving experience, however well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend and spectate while remaining on a lead at all times
- Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
