What you can expect
Set off on a full-day adventure from Melbourne that captures the wonders of Victoria’s most iconic sights. Begin your journey at Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes, a beloved Aussie landmark where 82 heritage-listed huts line the sand in perfect formation. From there, travel into the Dandenong Ranges and climb aboard the historic Puffing Billy Steam Train, Australia’s oldest steam railway. Sit back and breathe in the cool mountain air as you ride through the towering forests of Mountain Ash.
Continue your journey to Maru Koala and Animal Park (subject to train schedule on the day, entry at your own expense), where you can meet kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and more up close. Next, it’s on to the scenic coastline of The Nobbies Centre, where cliffs and ocean views await. During sunset, witness the famous Penguin Parade at Summerland Beach, with hundreds of little penguins waddling to their nests, before returning to Melbourne, arriving back in the city at around 11.30pm.
