What you can expect
Cover all bases and take the family on a day trip that combines contemporary art, delicious food and scenic dining in this elevated Gold Coast experience at House of the Arts (HOTA). Begin your journey on board the Hopo Ferry where you can choose between a short return from Surfers Paradise or a hop-on and hop-off day pass that gives you the flexibility to explore at your own pace. When you're ready, make your way to HOTA, the Home of the Arts, where you'll enjoy general admission to the HOTA Gallery which is home to boundary pushing exhibitions and an excellent collection of contemporary art.
Also included is a $30 food voucher that can be redeemed at either The Exhibitionist Bar, atop the roof of the HOTA gallery and offering a chic experience with an expansive view, or at the HOTA cafe, a more tranquil and relaxed, but no less enjoyable experience.

- 11.00am – Check in at the Hopo Ferry Kiosk, Appel Park, Surfers Paradise, and receive your cruise tickets and $30 food and beverage voucher
- 11.15am – Depart Surfers Paradise aboard Hopo Ferry
- 11.23am – Arrive at HOTA, Home of the Arts
- 12.30pm - Enjoy lunch or indulge in one of the specialty cocktails using your $30 food and beverage voucher while taking in panoramic views from The Exhibitionist Bar
- 1.57pm – Depart HOTA aboard Hopo
- 2.05pm – Arrive back at Surfers Paradise
- Hopo departs Surfers Paradise hourly from 9.15am to 4.15pm and returns to Surfers Paradise from
- Hopo departs HOTA hourly from 10.57am to 5.57pm
- The Exhibitionist Bar is open Monday to Tuesday (10am to 4pm), Wednesday to Saturday (10am-10pm) and Sunday (9am to 4pm)
- HOTA Cafe is open Monday to Thursday (8.30am to 3.30pm), Friday (8.30am to 8pm), Saturday (9am to 8pm) and Sunday (7.30am to 3.30pm)
- The Hopo Ferry departs from Surfers Paradise Ferry Wharf, Appel Park, 10 Ferny Ave, Surfers Paradise, QLD 4217.
- Seats on the Hopo Ferry are subject to availability, arrive in plenty of time to avoid disappointment
- Please present your food and beverage voucher upon entry at The Exhibitionist Bar or HOTA Cafe
- If The Exhibitionist Bar is unavailable (e.g. closed for a private function), your voucher can only be redeemed at HOTA Cafe
