Very organised , friendly staff , great value.
This was the highlight of my Queensland trip! In hindsight I wish we’d booked the full day trip as we didn’t know what to expect on the island and it felt a little rushed but having said that we thoroughly enjoyed it , especially the glass bottom boat and spotting the whales and turtles was a bonus !

Very lovely and friendly staff. We had fun on the glass bottom boat and snorkelling. When I initially started using the snorkelling equipment, I had a lot of trouble getting used to it, but eventually I got the hang of it and was able to witness fish and corals up close. It is highly recommended.
What you can expect
Spend half the day exploring the beautiful Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef with a half day tour departing Cairns at 9am. Aboard the luxurious catamaran, 'Reef Rocket', you'll make your way over to Green Island, a coral cay on the reef which is just a short 45 minute journey from the mainland.
Once you've reached the island you'll be able to enjoy a total of 2 hours exploring the tropical rainforest on the island and the reef surrounding. With optional complimentary snorkelling equipment to use during your stay on the island or a ride on the glass bottom boat to see the reef from a dry, comfortable position.

- 2 hours to enjoy Green Island
- Optional choice of snorkelling gear or glass bottom boat tour (if selected at time of booking)
- Snorkelling demonstration & reef presentation en route to Green Island
- Use of Big Cat vessel, the 'Reef Rocket', during time at island as an air-conditioned base
- Island rainforest boardwalks
- Hotel transfers

- Boarding commences at 8.15am with final boarding at 8.45am from Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal and tour returns at 1pm
- Guests will receive a text message the afternoon prior to departure with berth number and vessel as well as a link to a map directing them to the correct location
- Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, just a short walk from most major Cairns City Hotels
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- It is highly recommended to reconfirm your booking on arrival in Cairns. For your information, complete Tour Operator Information including contact details are included on your tour voucher
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on the day of the tour. Vouchers presented on a mobile device are also accepted

Highly recommend this half day trip on Green Island!!!!
I had a great time on Green Island—many thanks to Experience Oz for the fabulous trip. We were well looked after, and we even got a free ice cream on the boat. I highly recommend this half day if you want to enjoy the rest of the afternoon sitting by the pool.
