What you can expect

Pro Dive Cairns 5 day PADI “Open Water” course combines the adventure of learning to scuba dive with the excitement of exploring the spectacular beauty of the Great Barrier Reef. This 5 day adventure consists of 2 days of theory and pool training, then 3 days and 2 nights on the Outer Great Barrier Reef, staying on one of Pro Dive Cairns’ premium liveaboard dive boats.

Included in the course are 9 dives (4 training and 5 recreational including a guided night dive) on a variety of 19 exclusive Outer Reef sites. There’s also plenty of time to snorkel and relax onboard.

$95 levy per person to be paid on board to the operator until March 31st 2026, and $100 levy per person to be paid on board to the operator from April 1st 2026.
Fuel Surcharge: Due to significant volatility in fuel supply and operational costs, a surcharge will apply and be collected at check-in on the day of travel (Per person - $25 AUD).

We recommend that you not fly within 24 hours of your final dive. Your final scheduled dive of the 3-day trip will be completed by 12pm
Prior to commencing your dive course you are required to complete the self-assessment Student Diver Medical Declaration. A positive response to any questions indicates there is a pre-existing condition which may affect your safety while diving and you must consult a medical practitioner, preferably with experience in diving medicine, to obtain a dive medical certificate that states you are medically fit to dive.
Number of Pax on the day: 32 passengers and 6 crew.
The number of dives may vary subject to weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

Please note: Any participant who commences the 5 Day Learn to Dive Course may cancel for any reason up until the end of day 1 (7pm) and are entitled to receive a full refund of the monies paid directly to Pro Dive Cairns. Customers who have purchased their course through a travel agent are advised that agent cancellation fees may apply and to contact their Agent in this regards. No refunds are applicable for any reason after this time
