Share the excitement and spectacle that is whale migration with everyone! These majestic creatures play, frolic & bask in the pristine waters of Kalbarri on their migratory route along the Western Australian coastline. Their migration follows the continental shelf as they embrace the coast and warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
Each trip is an opportunity to speak with an experienced guide, get up close and personal with these fantastic sea creatures, and witness a unique phenomenon right on Kalbarri’s doorstep. So, take the time to sit back, relax and gaze out over the Kalbarri coastline and the majestic sight of humpback whales.

- This experience is available between May and the end of September.
- Available daily at 9am or 12pm.
- This experience is approximately two-hours and 30-minutes in duration.
- This experience departs from Pen 1 at the Kalbarri Maritime Facility, located at 166 Grey Street, Kalbarri, WA 6536.
- Comfortable and lightweight clothing
- Jumper or windproof jacket
- Closed toed shoes
- All ages are welcome onboard
- Children are to be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times
- The experience provider has the right to ask any passenger to wear a life jacket at any time
- Passengers who are not compliant with experience providers directions will be taken back to shore without refund
- In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern, you will be contacted by the experience provider to reschedule or receive a refund
- A minimum of eight adults is required for a tour to proceed; a full refund will be issued if the tour does not meet our minimum booking numbers
- In the rare event the tour is unable to sight whales, guests are welcome to join the following scheduled tour free of charge
- Senior rates apply to holders of a valid Australian or New Zealand senior's card
- Children aged three to 12 years inclusive, are eligible for the child rate
- Children, under three years join the tour free of charge
- Family tickets are valid for two adults and two children up to the age of 12 years
- This experience is wheelchair accessible, please contact the experience provider directly as tides and weather determine accessibility
- Smoking is not permitted on the vessel
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of the purchase, you can print the voucher and present it on the day of the experience
