From the township of Te Anau, you’re just moments from one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, where lakeside views, native bush and classic Fiordland National Park scenery make for a top-notch family day out. With transfers included, you can enjoy a rewarding slice of the Kepler without taking on the full track.
Choose how your day unfolds. Take a 15-minute cruise across Lake Te Anau on the Kepler Water Taxi to Brod Bay, then follow the scenic two and a half hour 10km lakeside track back to town at a relaxed pace. Or stretch the legs first with a walk from Te Anau to Brod Bay, linking up with the Lake2Lake cycle trail and the Te Anau Bird Park, then kick back on the boat ride home. Either way, it’s an easy-going, sunny adventure that shows off the best of Te Anau - no worries, just good times!

- Water taxi from Brod Bay to Te Anau departs at 8.45am, 9.45am, 2.45pm, and 4.30pm
- Please allow at least three hours for this experience.
- Please meet at Fiordland Outdoors - Kepler Water Taxi, Te Anau Lakefront jetty, at Lakefront Drive, Te Anau 9600.
