What you can expect
Driving a single seater Formula Ford racing car is unlike anything else and you can experience it for yourself at the Sydney Motorsports Park. The cars are real race cars and you’ll be strapped into a Formula Ford for five laps. Connected by a six-point racing harness with the quick release steering wheel in front of you, you’ll have the gear stick on your right connected to a 4-speed close ratio, a purpose-built gearbox.
Seated only inches from the tarmac, drivers will feel every bump and vibration as the responsive car reacts quickly to every tiny adjustment made as they handle the Corporate Hill section of the Sydney Motorsports Park track. The driving experience will consist of two orientation laps in a road car and then five laps on your own.

- Approximately 2 to 3-hour car racing experience at Sydney Motorsport Park
- 5 Laps in a Formula Ford race car
- Includes driver instruction by real race car drivers
- Coffee, tea and water supplied
- All race and safety equipment provided: helmets, race suits and boots
- Safety briefings & track orientation
- Real, unmodified racing cars, as raced in the Formula Ford Championships
- 5 Blistering laps of Sydney Motorsport Park's, Corporate Hill Section of the South Circuit, one of Australia's premier race tracks
- NO rev-limiters - drive the car to your limits
- All race & safety equipment provided : helmets, race suits & boots
- Please allow approximately 2-3 hours for the experience
- Sessions run from 7:30am - 4:30pm, with 2 dates scheduled per month (dependent on availability)
- Booking time will be confirmed by the experience provider
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the session start time
- This experience takes place at Eastern Creek, Sydney. This is approximately 30 minutes drive from Sydney CBD.
- This experience takes place at Sydney Motorsport Park, Ferrers Road, Eastern Creek, NSW. Travelling east or west on the M4, take the Reservoir Road exit
- Follow the Sydney Motorsport Park signs on the Great Western Highway and turn left into Brabham Drive
- Once you reach the roundabout at the end of Brabham Drive (near the Alpha Hotel) turn right and follow Ferrers rd around to the gate A entry (formerly gate 7)
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the session start time
- Bring your driving license (sorry, no license, no driving)
- If you have your own race suit, helmet and gloves, bring them
- Bring a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses
- Rescheduling: In the event of a reschedule inside 14 days, a $100 admin fee will apply
- This experience is an outdoor event and will go ahead in wet/damp conditions. If the supplier deems the track unsafe, due to extreme weather conditions, we will reschedule your experience to a convenient later date. We do not offer refunds. In damp or wet conditions, you must still arrive for your allocated session/event unless advised otherwise by the supplier.
- When you are driving you are responsible for any damage done to the race vehicle. This event is an all weather event, and in the event that your session cannot run due to weather conditions, we will reschedule your experience to another suitable date and time. Cancellations are subject to the adventure provider.
- Not suitable for pregnant women or those who suffer from certain medical conditions
- Participants must have "P" standard manual driving license and be able to operate a manual gearbox
- Participants will be required to sign an indemnity accepting liability for any damage to the car
- Minimum age is 16 years. Participants under the age of 18 years will require a parent/guardian to sign such forms on their behalf
- Maximum weight is 120kg
- The minimum height on this experience is 155 cm, and the maximum is 188 cm
- Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- No refunds will be offered on any booked experiences
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
