What you can expect

Tucked away on Rakiura Stewart Island, Oneke (The Neck) offers a remote slice of Aotearoa that few get to experience. Your day begins with a scenic boat cruise along Stewart Island's coastline and a cultural commentary on the region's rich history. Once on land at Oneke (The Neck), you'll join a guided walk through native forest, across beaches, and along rugged headlands.

This small group walk offers exclusive access to Oneke, making it an ideal experience for travellers looking to slow down and connect with nature. During your walk, you'll have the chance to spot abundant native wildlife, from vibrant birdlife to marine creatures in this pristine and secluded area. To make the day even more special, we recommend you pack a lunch and enjoy a relaxing picnic, all while soaking in the stunning views.
