Great experience, everything ran smoothly. Staff on the boat and walter peak farm were all lovely and very informative. The TTS Earnslaw is amazing, had a great time at Walter peak farm tour, the afternoon tea was delicious. The boat ride well worth doing.
What you can expect
A Lake Wakatipu cruise on the TSS Earnslaw is akin to stepping back in time - the steam-driven vessel dubbed "The Lady of the Lake" provides the venue for a one and a half hour cruise that showcases some of the best of New Zealand's alpine scenery. You'll have ample time to explore the decks and bridge of this historical cruise ship, visit the engine room and view the historical collection of photos in its gallery.
With such facilities on board as a licensed café and bar that serves both a selection of café-style food, beer, wine and spirits, you'll have access to everything you need to enjoy the cruise on these scenic waters in comfort while soaking in the natural majesty that surrounds you in every direction. The cruises depart regularly throughout the day and are suitable for all ages.

- Café style food available includes freshly baked home-style pies, quiche, pizza, freshly filled rolls and sandwiches, muffins, scones, slices, assorted cakes and pastries
- Full bar services operate on board the TSS Earnslaw as it cruises to and from Walter Peak

- This means that all food and beverage purchases aboard our vessels in Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Queenstown, and Te Anau, as well as at Walter Peak and the Manapouri Café, will no longer accept cash. A cashless system will provide a smoother, more efficient experience for both our guests and staff.

Beautiful scenery and delicious lunch
Travelling via steamboat is a unique experience in itself and well worth doing! The boat ride offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains, and the lunch was delicious, particularly the desserts. The restaurant had a good range of gluten-free and dairy free main menu items and desserts.

This is a very interesting and nice experience for my family
The lunch was great and it was a great experience on the ship as well. The kids have enjoyed a pretty interesting experience. The scenery is also very nice along the way. The sheep show was also nice to watch. Will definitely come again next time.
