What you can expect

Launch into a guided canyoning day with transfers and lunch at Glenorchy Paradise, one of New Zealand’s most secluded adventure destinations on the South Island. Meet just outside of Eichardt's Hotel for your transfer into the wild terrain. Embarking on this journey, you'll explore a unique landscape accessible only to participants. Led by an expert canyoning guide, you'll encounter stunning waterfalls and dramatic cliffs amidst lush forest, along the way.

Feel the thrill of controlled descents as you abseil down waterfalls reaching up to 15 metres. Navigate downclimbing rock walls and sculpted corridors of the area. Complete the day with a well-deserved picnic-style lunch overlooking scenic Glenorchy views. This experience is designed for small groups and beginners eager for a new adventure, offering the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the captivating wild terrain.

  • Please arrive at 8.45am for a 9am departure.
  • This experience is a full day in duration, please allow seven hours.
  • This experience departs with transfers from 2 Marine Parade, Queenstown 9300.
  • Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, swimwear, a towel and dry clothes
  • Wear closed toe shoes suitable for wet terrain and warm layers
  • Minimum age is 10 years old
  • Minimum of four participants
  • All guests must be able to speak and understand English
  • Guests must be confident in water
  • A medium fitness level is required
  • Participants must understand the experience provider's 'risk acknowledgement' information at the time of booking
  • This experience is beginner-friendly but physically active
  • This experience is weather dependent
  • If your experience is cancelled due to weather you will be rescheduled by the provider
