You'll target trout and salmon using downriggers to reach the deeper parts of the lake, giving you a real shot at landing a catch.
The ride for the day is a smooth and quiet vessel powered by an electric trolling motor, making things eco-friendly while you enjoy the scenery. Additionally, the included snacks and soft drinks, along with premium gear and expert guidance, make this trip as comfortable as it is memorable.

- Keep your catch (within local limits), we promote catch and release
- Fishing Licence (Required): A valid fishing licence is mandatory for everyone fishing on board. Licences can be purchased online at Fish & Game NZ (https://fishandgame.eslltd.co.nz/shop). We recommend purchasing on the day of your trip, as they are non-refundable. Alternatively, licences are available for purchase on the boat before departure. Alcohol: You're welcome to bring your own alcohol on board – we just ask that you enjoy responsibly so everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure
- This experience is three hours in duration.
- Frankton Marina is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, a short drive from central Queenstown and the airport. Follow signs to Sugar Lane or enter "Frankton Marina" into Google Maps. Parking is available nearby, and the marina is easily accessible by car, taxi, or rideshare. The entrance is off Sugar Lane, just past the Queenstown Yacht Club.

- Valid fishing license if held
- Sturdy, non-slip footwear
- Waterproof jacket
- Warm sweater or fleece during cooler months
- Sun protection; sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
- A fishing licence is required for this trip; this can be purchased onboard prior to departure
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by at least one paying adult
- Minimum of two participants required for this experience to operate
- You will be contacted 24 hours prior if minimum numbers have not been met
- No refund will be provided if the trip is cancelled due to unsafe or inappropriate customer behaviour
- This experience operates in most weather conditions; the cabin is dry and weather protected
- In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern, you will be contacted by the provider and rescheduled
- Private charters are available by booking all 6 spots; this ensures your group has exclusive use of the boat
- Cancel or reschedule for free up to 7 days before your trip.
- Within 7 days, bookings are non-refundable, and rescheduling costs $50.
- If your experience is cancelled due to weather or other issues, you will have the option to re-book or request a refund
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Mobile Vouchers are accepted! Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
