What you can expect
Discover Cairns’ rainforest and waterfalls on a half‑day 4WD adventure tour taking in Barron Falls and even getting a chance to swim. Escape the crowds and enjoy a relaxed journey through three Wet Tropics Rainforest National Parks, guided by an experienced naturalist. After a convenient pickup from your accommodation, travel along the scenic Kuranda Range, passing through the charming village of Kuranda before arriving at Barron Gorge National Park. Here, take in the impressive Barron Falls from Wrights Lookout, a perfect spot for photos and a chance to appreciate the scale of this iconic waterfall.
The adventure continues off‑road with a 4WD drive along Clohesy River Road, winding through rainforest and over sections of the Great Dividing Range. Discover ancient King Ferns and visit the Clohesy Boardwalk, where you’ll encounter a towering strangler fig and learn more about this unique ecosystem. Cool off with a refreshing swim at Davies Creek, then enjoy a stop for locally made ice cream before returning to Cairns via a scenic World Heritage drive.
