What you need to know
- Two-hour and thirty-minute guided Māori heritage tour
- Mini-coach transport between tour site destinations
- Hands-on authentic activities (weaving and Rakau)
- On-the-go Māori word lessons
- Tours commence at 10am and 2pm.
- This experience is approximately two hours and 30 minutes in duration.
- This experience departs from Town Clock in the West End car park, located at 51 West End, Kaikōura 7300.
- Water Bottle
- Comfortable and sturdy walking shoes
- A light jacket or raincoat (advisable)
- Sunscreen
- Camera
- Sense of humour (this is a must!)
- On occasion, tours may be cancelled due to Tangi (bereavement): In Māori culture, a Tangi (funeral) is of utmost importance. If this situation arises, you will be contacted by the provider
- In extreme weather conditions, the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern. You will be contacted by the provider and rescheduled
- This experience includes walking on uneven terrain; please dress accordingly
- Food and beverages not included
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
