Great experience thoroughly enjoyed.

Great experience thoroughly enjoyed. Staff fantastic making sure the boat rotated 360 degrees for everyone to view caves and wildlife. The staff made sure ginger tablets were supplied with no extra cost. The boat was very comfortable and still gave the opportunity to enjoy the elements.

Such an incredible day! It's a must if you're visiting Tassie.

This was an incredible day! I took my mum on this day tour and it did not disappoint. They provide a delicious morning tea and lunch in a lovely venue. The Tasman Island cruise itself made us look around in awe, the nature, wildlife we saw was just insane. The sea cliff formations are so tall and we luckily encountered a massive pod of dolphins who swam alongside our boat for a while. They also take us to Port Arthur Lavendar Farm, Chocolate Factory and Remarkable Caves - so you really see a lot in a day at a great pace. Definitely recommend - it's not one to miss. PS they also give sea sickness tablets (ginger and natural) which definitely helped!

What you can expect

Set off from the historic Port Arthur site and get ready for a 90-minute wilderness cruise showcasing the beauty of Tasmania’s coastline. Visit the sights of hidden sea caves, dramatic arches, and cliffs that rise hundreds of metres straight out of the ocean. Your friendly crew will share fascinating stories of the region as you glide across the Tasman Sea. With a little bit of luck, you'll be able to spot seals lounging on the rocks, seabirds flying above, and sometimes even groups of playful dolphins.

The highlight of the journey is Cape Raoul, where the famous dolerite columns rise from the sea. You’ll also pass by the pristine white sands of Safety Cove and Crescent Bay, with perfect photo opportunities to finish off the trip. With entertaining commentary, comfortable seating, and plenty of time to take in the scenery, this cruise is an unforgettable way to experience the wild charm of the Tasman Peninsula.

A magnificent, unforgettable experience. If anyone gets the opportunity, this tour should be definitely tried.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. It was run on time. The driver was kind and cautious. All the staff were attentive. We had a very delicious lunch. The only problem that was really annoying was the boat itself. We were seated at the back of the boat which unfortunately had a very restricted view. Most of the time we were trying to find a window between the back of the captain and the side wall of the boat to be able to see the nature. It wasn’t fair at all to pay the same price as others sitting in-front of the captain having wide view. The captain tried his best to compensate for the situation but it still hurts remembering how we felt. This tours is magnificent but I suggest not selling the two back rows of the boat. Otherwise you can be sure you will never forget how beautiful is Tasman Island.

Highly recommended! Pennicot Wilderness Journey crew were great. They look after their customers. A must do while in Hobart, Tasmania.

This is a must see adventure. They offer sea sickness tablets before the journey. The grandeur of it all will keep you wanting more. A lot of wow, look at that, excellent, magnificent. Mitch our bus driver was great and entertaining. Ben and Angs were also great with the cruise. Vast knowledge. We were able to see group of dolphins which was a bonus. The booking did not give options. We found out on the day that there are different options that are part of the tour, like lavender farm or historic sights at Port Arthur, or Tasmanian devil zoo. We are so grateful to Mitch that he was able to change our land visit to the historic port Arthur for addition small fee.
