What you can expect

Step into the heart of New Zealand’s wildlife on a one-hour guided tour at the National Aquarium of New Zealand. Led by your guide, you’ll journey into the nocturnal house, where day becomes night, and catch the kiwi in action. Learn about their habits, favourite foods, and take a look at a real kiwi egg. From there, discover the secrets of the tuatara and get tips on spotting these fascinating reptiles that have been on earth for over 200 million years.

You’ll also meet the aquarium’s famous little penguins, and your guide will be sharing stories of conservation and care. With all-day admission included, you’ll have time to explore the rest of the aquarium at your own pace, joining keeper talks and daily feeding sessions to round out the experience. This guided tour is the ultimate way to dive deeper into the wonders of New Zealand’s native icons.
