Wonderful experience where you can get very close to the animals

The koalas are the best. You cannot touch them but you can get close. We did not choose the photo option but you can do that for an additional cost. One koala was very active for us. Also, you were allowed to hand feed the Roos. They were large but calm. Such a great park. There were other critters but the Roos and koalas were my favorite. The entry fee was reasonable.

Koala Kangaroos Picture to koalas Crocodiles Feed kangaroos and wallabies

Very nice place to see cute koalas and take a picture of them, feed kangaroos and wallabies as well . You can see nice birds at Bird World and butterflies at butterfly sanctuary! The Koala garden is not too big but a nice place any way get not too late for a koala photo session, I’ve got there late so couldn't get a photo so do not do that 😬 Nice experience!

What you can expect

Visit the home of the koalas in the Cairns region with tickets to the fun Kuranda Koala Gardens where you'll get to see these cuddly creatures and many of their other wildlife friends. A great little zoo, family friendly and good value for money.

As a little family, we were really impressed by Koala Gardens. There was a great variety of animals and reptiles to look at and I especially liked seeing how clean the enclosures were and how well cared for the animals were. Good value for money with free feed included to feed the kangaroos in the admission price. Easy to navigate around with a relaxed environment.
