What you can expect
Leave the city behind and spend a day surrounded by adventure, wildlife, and natural beauty on Moreton Island. After a short boat transfer from Brisbane, you’ll arrive at Tangalooma Island Resort, where your day pass gives you access to pools, restaurants, and bars. Use your included lunch voucher to enjoy a meal before heading off to the Desert Safari 4WD tour. Out on the sand dunes, you can try sand tobogganing, sliding down at speeds of up to 40km/h for an adrenaline rush the whole family will love.
Back at the resort, take time to relax on the beaches and cool off in the pool before the day’s grand finale. As the sun sets, join Tangalooma’s eco rangers for the dolphin feeding program, where you will step into the shallows and hand-feed wild dolphins that visit the resort each evening. With return boat transfers, lunch, resort access, sand tobogganing, and dolphin feeding all included, this day trip is the ultimate family-friendly island escape.

- One hour and 30-minute desert safari tour with sand tobogganing

- Departs at 7.30am or 10am and returns between 7pm and 8pm, depending on the season
- Please arrive 45 minutes prior to departure
- This experience is approximately 12 hours in duration.

- Moderate fitness is required for sand dune climbs; in wet weather, the Desert Safari will operate as a sightseeing tour to the Tangalooma Wrecks (sand tobogganing unavailable)
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
