Experience the transformative art of Olafur Eliasson in his exclusive exhibition 'Presence,' open at the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane from December 6, 2025, to July 12, 2026. This expansive showcase features over 20 remarkable works, spanning from 1993 to the present, and includes major installations, photography, and sculpture created in collaboration with Eliasson's Berlin-based studio.
Take your time as you walk through the exhibit, allow for one to two hours to fully experience the uniqueness of what this exhibit has to offer. Eliasson's art invites audiences to engage with their senses, drawing attention to the significance of being "present." Highlighted works include the seminal piece 'Beauty,' which creates a mesmerising rainbow effect, and the immersive 'Riverbed,' alongside new installations crafted specifically for this exhibition. 'Presence' emphasises the impact of light and perspective on our experience of reality. New installations, including 'Your negotiable vulnerability seen from two perspectives' and 'Your truths,' challenge viewers to perceive the world from multiple angles.
