What you can expect
Sovereign Hill's Winter Wonderlights is where history and holiday cheer come together, making an unforgettable family day out. During daylight hours, explore the charm of this 1850s gold rush town, with the possibilities to pan for gold, ride in a horse-drawn coach, and get creative with hands-on crafts. The streets come alive with theatre performances, historic shops, and wintry treats to keep you warm.
The real magic begins once the sun sets and the town starts glowing with colourful light projections, snowfalls, and over 18 kilometres of fairy lights. Take in live brass band tunes, and meet St Nicolas in his cosy grotto, while enjoying fireside bites under a sparkling winter sky. Whether you're visiting with kids, a partner, or simply chasing the festive feeling, this magical experience is the perfect combination of history, lights, and winter fun.
