- You’ll enjoy return transfers from Wellington i-SITE to Weta Studio Tours, where you’ll explore a dedicated area of Weta Workshop
- Your driver will highlight iconic film sites during your journey. On arrival, snap photos with our sculptures, wander through our props showcase, and browse our retail shop
- Your ticket guarantees seating to our behind-the-scenes documentary
- A Weta Workshop crew member will then guide you on a tour through the props and costumes from The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, and more
- Tours depart Wellington i-SITE at 9.15am, 10.15am, 12.45pm and 1.45pm (subject to availability)
- 2.5 hours (approx.) from departure to final drop-off
- Filming, photography and recording is PROHIBITED within the Weta Cave Workshop Tour space
- No refunds or other compensation if you are late and miss your tour
- Children must be accompanied by adult 14 years or older
- To cancel an existing booking, please contact us on +64 4 909 4035 or email bookings@wetaworkshop.co.nz with your booking reference and full name.
- Please allow up to 48 hours for a response. If cancellation is made within 24 hours of arrival, there is no refund available.
- If cancellation is made within 48 hours of arrival, we will refund 50% of the total booking price.
- If a tour is cancelled by Weta Workshop, we can reschedule your tour to another day that suits you or offer a full refund.
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction

It was a great experience
It was a great experience. The tour is quick and I wish they would allow taking pictures inside, but if you like cinema you must love it. The shuttles bus driver was very nice, and gave us a lot of extra information, that if I would have gone by car would not have had. So I recommend it!
Pretty awesome experience
Pretty awesome experience, especially if you love movies. Not only have they created the scene and props for Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit trilogies, but also many other films that we have grown up. An experience I would and already have recommended to friends and family. The staff are very knowledgeable about the products too!
