Rob Roy Glacier Track

What you can expect

Venture around active glaciers on the Rob Roy Glacier Track which starts just an hour out of Wanaka. Travelling into the heart of Mount Aspiring National Park, this track encompasses a range of sites including towering mountains, rushing river valleys, dramatic alpine landscapes, snowfields, waterfalls and of course, glaciers. However, the journey begins well before you step foot on the track as the car ride to the trail is just as scenic and enjoyable with beautiful views of Matukituki Valley. Taking around three to four hours to complete the viewing point acts as the perfect spot to take a rest or enjoy a pre-packed picnic. The easy grade trail is both scenic and adventurous and if you have the time, it is highly recommended you put boots to the ground and explore this beautiful part of the Wanaka region.
