There is plenty of time to reach the lake's hidden spots and try a range of techniques such as trolling, spinning, jigging, harling, and downriggers, to target trout and salmon when in season.

Cruising on a quiet, electric-powered boat, you can fully enjoy the peaceful ride with professional gear, expert guidance, and space to relax. Soft drinks and snacks are included, additionally, there is the option to upgrade to a locally made gourmet lunch, rounding up this unforgettable day on the water.

Exclusions
  • Fishing Licence (Required): A valid fishing licence is mandatory for everyone fishing on board. Licences can be purchased online at Fish & Game NZ (https://fishandgame.eslltd.co.nz/shop). We recommend purchasing on the day of your trip, as they are non-refundable. Alternatively, licences are available for purchase on the boat before departure. Alcohol: You're welcome to bring your own alcohol on board – we just ask that you enjoy responsibly so everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.
Time
  • Available seven days a week at 8am
  • In summer, between 1st December and 1st March, also available at 3pm
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure

  • This experience is six hours in duration.

Terms And Conditions
  • A fishing licence is required for this trip; this can be purchased onboard prior to departure
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by at least one paying adult
  • Minimum of two participants required for this experience to operate
  • You will be contacted 24 hours prior if minimum numbers have not been met
  • No refund will be provided if the trip is cancelled due to unsafe or inappropriate customer behaviour
  • This experience operates in most weather conditions; the cabin is dry and weather protected
  • In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern, you will be contacted by the provider and rescheduled
  • Private charters are available by booking all 6 spots; this ensures your group has exclusive use of the boat
  • Locally made lunch is available at extra cost, please contact experience provider to add this
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancel or reschedule for free up to 7 days before your trip.
  • Within 7 days, bookings are non-refundable, and rescheduling costs $50.
  • If the experience is cancelled do to weather or other issues, you will have the option to re-book or request a refund

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
