Calling all thrill seekers... this experience is the one for you! Release the adrenalin junkie in you with the AJ Hackett Taupo Swing. If you're a sucker for bungy jumping or maybe you have a fear of falling head first, then this extreme activity holds all your answers. Dive feet first above Waikato River Valley in this free fall swing experience. Riders who dare to take on the challenge are harnessed in at 44m above the water, before soaring through the Taupo skies reaching speeds of up to 70 kph. Choose the option of a countdown, or for some extra thrill, choose for a surprise release.. either way you'll soon be free falling. Be mesmerized by the stunning views of the water below you and the scenic surroundings when you finally reach a slower swing speed and ascend to the top.
The swing can accommodate up to two people, so why not round up a friend and enjoy this unique experience together!

- Winter: 7 Days 9:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Summer: 7 Days 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
- The whole experience, from registration to watching your jump or extreme swing video on-screen, is roughly 20 – 30 minutes. However, this time is dependent on how busy the site is. Our customers arrive on-site, proceed with registration and payment and then join the queue on the platform

- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
- Winter can get very cold so recommend warm clothing and jacket
- For a Tandem Bungy or Swing, simply purchase two units relative to age and let the team know upon your arrival
- Operates in rain but may pause during high winds, hail, or thunderstorms.
- Free spectator access.
- Tickets non-transferable and non-refundable once checked in.
- Groups of 5+ should book 24 hours in advance.
- Weight Limits: Min 30kg (66lbs), Max 140kg (309lbs) per person. Tandem swings: Max combined weight 180kg (393lbs)
- Age Limits: Min 10 years (parent/guardian signature required for 10–14 years). No maximum age.
- Health: Participants must disclose medical conditions (e.g., high blood pressure, epilepsy, pregnancy) that may affect safety.
- Safety: Must fit safety harness. Non-refundable if unable to jump due to undisclosed conditions.

- For bookings; Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance = 100% refund. Cancellation less than 48 hours in advance = Non-refundable. You can change the date of your booking, at no cost, up to 48 hours in advance. Booking changes within 48 hours will incur a $50 change fee. If you fail to arrive for your scheduled book time your booking will be non-refundable. Please check your activity details carefully for your report time.
